How to look after your houseplants while on holiday
You are looking forward to a well-deserved vacation, but how will you take care of your potted plants while you're away? Here, we provide our tips and tricks on how you can safely go on vacation and return home to beautiful, healthy plants!
- Move your potted plants away from direct sunlight to avoid unnecessary evaporation. It is a good idea to place your potted plants in a north-facing window, where there isn't much sun, but still plenty of light. If that is not an option, simply place your plants further away from the window, for example, on the coffee table or dining table.
- Use a holiday plant waterer. With a holiday waterer, you can go on vacation with peace of mind, knowing that your plants are still getting the water they need. There are many different types available (some more attractive than others). Our holiday waterers are containers made of clay. You fill the container with water before you go on vacation. Since the bottom of the container is unglazed, the water will slowly seep out of the container and into the roots. This ensures slow and long-lasting watering.
