Pinguicula x Tina is a beautiful and easy hybrid between the species Pinguicula agnata and Pinguicula zecher. This hybrid is distinguished by being very easy to grow, producing relatively large leaves and beautiful purple flowers. In winter, it may enter a type of dormancy where the leaves become smaller and more succulent-like. During this time, water slightly less.
Butterworts are a fun group of carnivorous plants that form very sticky leaves, upon which small insects land and get stuck. There is actually one species of butterwort in Denmark, namely Pinguicula vulgaris. Like many other carnivorous plants, butterworts do not tolerate fertilizer in the soil and do not tolerate lime in the water. Furthermore, they must be kept very wet (the soil must not dry out). This is easiest to do by placing them in a saucer with water at all times.
