Christmas elves arriving with candles | Papercraft

Five little elves are making their way through the Christmas season, each with a matchstick over their shoulder, while the one in front has already lit its candle. A whimsical and atmospheric paper cutout that simply captures some of the coziest aspects of December with little elves, lit candles, and the anticipation of Christmas.

The motif has a nostalgic and playful expression that pairs beautifully with both classic Christmas decorations and natural materials like spruce, pinecones, and dried branches.

Create a little elf tale

Once the elves are cut out, they can be given their own place among your Christmas decorations. Place them on a shelf, on the windowsill, or as a small detail on the Christmas table.

They are, of course, also perfect to place near the Advent wreath, the calendar candle, or the family’s matches. Here, it almost looks as if the little group has shown up to ensure that December never runs out of light.

Hand-painted Danish paper cutout

The paper cutout is designed by Tall Hat Tales and has a charming, hand-painted look with plenty of small details and personality.

It is the kind of Christmas decoration that doesn't need to take up much space to create atmosphere. The five little elves can stand alone as a simple decoration or be part of a larger Christmas landscape together with other ornaments.

Christmas decorations to bring out again

Paper cutouts have a special place among traditional Christmas decorations. There is something cozy about cutting out the figures yourself and watching the motif take shape, and afterwards, the elves can be carefully packed away with the rest of the Christmas decorations.

Then the little troupe with their matches can march out again when December returns.
