Maidenhair vine (Latin Muehlenbeckia complexa) originates from New Zealand and Australia, but it is an old favorite that has been grown as a houseplant for many years. It grows very vigorously under almost any conditions. It can be kept outdoors (though it does not like frost), as a houseplant, and, of course, in terrariums. The plant is a lovely green with small, round leaves on long stems. It performs best as a climbing or trailing plant and can easily be planted with other plants.
It can handle both direct sun and shade. The more light it gets, the faster it grows. It does not really like to dry out completely, but otherwise it is very easy. The biggest problem may be keeping it under control, as it is a vigorous grower.
